What is Reefer Trucking?

The safety of goods is the main task of the carrier, so it is important to follow certain rules during delivery. Special attention is paid to goods with a short shelf life, which require compliance with the temperature regime. For such goods use special transportation that maintains the temperature at a stable level. This prevents overheating and freezing, which lead to product damage and financial losses.

What is temperature transportation of goods

Temperature transportation is a type of cargo delivery over a long distance while maintaining a certain temperature. For this purpose, instead of ordinary cars, special transport – refrigerators – is used. The main task of such delivery is to maintain a constant temperature in the cargo compartment, if necessary – the level of humidity, the concentration of gaseous substances (oxygen, carbon dioxide). In such conditions perishable food products do not lose their marketable properties, remain fresh during domestic and international transportation.

Different types of products require different temperature conditions. Frozen goods are transported in conditions of -18…-28 degrees, chilled products +4 degrees. Many goods (cosmetics, medicines) require delivery in reefer trucking in summer time to prevent their overheating in the sun and spoilage, because the permissible conditions of their storage should not exceed +15…+20 degrees. In winter time temperature transportation protects the goods from frosting, freezing, so that fruits, vegetables, flowers do not lose their properties.

If you do not observe the conditions of transportation, the goods will fall into disrepair. Cosmetics will lose their appearance and active components. Food products will have to be recycled or disposed of if they are completely spoiled. Medical goods cannot be used, as failure to comply with shipping conditions can be dangerous to health.
